Reading your post made me understand how a lot work you should have put into its content material. I truly enjoyed studying all this info and agree with you on the large portion of it. Great occupation....

I am currently studying for the ML exam. The material in the guide is not all that different form Lion. I really don't know what to tell you. I only used the guide by Kevin White and have read anything he recommends. It is really up to you whether or not to retake the exam a second time.

hello there
i just found this post even tjugh it isnt up to date just wanted tosay my experuience
i am visual impaired for telwve years now and i have been using macs for many years..i love them and as you i am writting news, tricks, tips and guides for the apple community
two years ago i sit for the snow leopard exams..i was very very confident and to kae this hort i passed with a 99 per cent!!!was really great
didnt sit for the lion exams but this year i thought i should go on tyo the mountain lion certification for the support essentials and if everything went ok i could move forweard for themountain lion server
was quite angry to myuself an to the exam contents afterwardsd when i realised i didnt pass...for just 2 per cent!
mountain lion exams were totally different from the material that i was reading..no terminal questions and some of them were exactly the same as snow leopard
not exactly sure if i will sit for the exam again
two reasons
1. very disappointed even though i was very close and the retake of the exam is exactly the same amount of money so as to sit again..which is 130 euros :(
2. im thinking that there will be a new OS coming out in august so not exactly sure if there is any point?

propably i am speaking being still angry with myself about my results....didnt believe i lost this exam and had already planned to study for the server material which i found a great video tutorial section which i paid so as to do this after passing the ML exam..this obviously didnt happen...so...now im a bit confused on what to do...
just wanted to share my experience with you:)
regards

Thanks great post and article, my 12 year old boy has just passed his ACSP for Mac OS X Lion Essentials exam. He has been using a Mac since before he could walk, so he was very Mac savvy. So as part of his final year before he starts high school in Australia he decided to do this as a Enterprise Award project his school gets all boys to do. He was answering a question for me once at the Apple Store a genius could not answer. so we figured he was pretty talented with his Mac IT knowledge.

Your article was very helpful in encouraging him and directing him on what to read, ie. Kevin White manual and how and what to study. We are so proud of his accomplishment and see he will have a bright IT future doing something he loves.

Thanks for sharing your great achievement and knowledge :)
